Rainwater harvesting and a 10,000 L tank
Villas Valegro incorporate a complete rainwater collection system that captures water from the roof, the solarium and the pool overflow. Rather than draining it away, it channels the water through downpipes concealed in the ventilated façade to a buried 10,000-litre tank. That volume is reused to irrigate the gardens, genuinely reducing the demand for drinking water in outdoor maintenance.
Concealed downpipes: technology with no visual impact
The technical side need not be on show. The downpipes are concealed within the ventilated cavity, with no grilles or interruptions on the exterior surfaces. The result is a silent, protected network that takes nothing away from the architectural reading of the villa: water is managed as part of the design, not as a functional add-on.
An efficient pool with salt chlorination
The infinity pool combines performance and efficiency. Filtration with AFM®ng active media retains particles down to one micron and improves water quality; the variable-speed pump reduces energy consumption; and salt chlorination, with automatic pH and Redox control, keeps the water balanced with fewer products. Overflow water is also recovered and fed into the overall reuse system.
Drip irrigation for a Mediterranean garden
The Mediterranean garden is conceived to consume little. The plant selection — olive trees, hedges and adapted lawns — is combined with zoned irrigation by planting type: grass, trees and garden areas each receive exactly what they need, no more and no less. Drip irrigation and tree watering rings prevent waste and keep the garden stable and durable.
Real water efficiency in southern Spain
The whole system — capture, storage, reuse and efficient irrigation — is not a symbolic gesture. It measurably reduces drinking-water consumption and aligns the villa with a responsible way of living, especially valuable in a Mediterranean climate.
